Cardiff University ranked as the best university in Wales in latest global university rankings

70.1 per cent of students are satisfied with their course


The Times Higher Education World Ranking recently released their global university rankings. Whilst most Welsh universities dropped down places from last year’s rank, Cardiff University has maintained its position as the top in Wales.

It was not only ranked as the best university in Wales, but it also ranked 25th place in the UK. Cardiff University has climbed up 10 spots this year as it was ranked 35th in the UK university rankings last year. 

It is the only Welsh university in the Russell group and has reported a completion rate of 92.8 per cent. The survey also found that student satisfaction is high at 70.1 per cent. 

Moreover, Cardiff University has continued to be in the top 20 for graduate prospects and a raise of 15 per cent was noted in the demand for jobs for students from Cardiff University.

A total of 135 UK universities were ranked in the The Times Higher Education World Ranking.
