Clwb Ifor Bach is set to expand its premises soon
The proposed redevelopment comes at a crucial time for Cardiff nightlife
Cardiff hotspot Clwb Ifor Bach (Welsh Club) have announced that they are planning on expanding their premises very soon.
Located on Womanby Street, Welsh Club has been entertaining Cardiff clubbers with events such as Disco Motel and Brooklyn Zoo, as well as gigs and live music events for 35 years.
And the popular club are now set to get even bigger. They have announced that they are holding a public consultation for its redevelopment on Tuesday 5th February in a bid to extend the venue to the building next to it.
By doing this, the club are aiming to create "a venue fit for the 21st century."
Clwb Ifor Bach have also stated that their planned expansion follows advice and funding from The Arts Council of Wales, which is enabling them to redevelop and work with a specialist team to plan designs.
The proposed redevelopment comes at a crucial time for Cardiff nightlife, and aims to not only build on Clwb Ifor Bach's heritage but to the "community, to the Welsh economy and to the fabric of Welsh life".
