May Ball Dress Guide

Hurraaah it’s that time of the year again! But if you, like me, are scouring the shops with despair rising at the sight of every disappointing dress then fear no more, help is at hand!

 

After I told my friends that I intended to don an all out 18^th century French costume (à la Marie-Antoinette) for the Caius May Ball- A Brief History of Time- I was told, to my sliight embarrassment, that dressing to the theme is not the done thing..

 

Nonetheless, even if I shall have to part with my rococo wig for the evening, there’s no reason why our dresses shouldn’t make at least a subtle allusion to the theme. Because after all, how often is it that we get to dress like a Grecian goddess or a fairytale princess?
