Omg, a former Islander spills production secrets that prove Love Island USA is so staged
She's not holding back
Love Island USA was giving real, raw, and unscripted vibes, but a former Islander just spilt some hot tea on the reality. In a candid interview with Keke Palmer, JaNa Craig opened up about what really goes on behind the scenes. It turns out it’s not all spontaneous chats and heart-racing recouplings. While it’s no secret that most reality TV has a little behind-the-scenes guidance, the secrets JaNa spills here make Love Island USA look a lot more curated than chaotic.
JaNa lifts the lid on Love Island USA

Sitting down for a chat with Keke, JaNa was asked if producers or the public, “pit Islanders against each other.”
She replied: “One hundred per cent.
“The thing about the producers is they’ll never make you do something you don’t want to do. But, they would, like, suggest something.”
JaNa gives some examples: “They’d be like ‘Hey, it seemed like Kenny hurt your feelings yesterday, did you want to talk to someone else instead? And I was like ‘no’.”
She continued to add how they’d say things like: “I know you want to vent to Serena, but why don’t you vent to someone else?”
JaNA said she told them: “No, that’s my girl, I want to vent to her.”
Production, apparently, would just “let her know” what they thought she should do instead.
She joked: “Thanks for your opinion, but no, no, no, nice try.”
JaNa said she and Kenny ‘got no airtime’
Although JaNa admitted she hasn’t really watched her season back as “it’s hard watching yourself,” she said a lot of people told her that she and Kenny got little airtime.
The season six star suggested it was “because they talked about God a lot.”
Keke added: “And ya’ll was in love.”
JaNa laughed: “We actually had conversations… that is so funny.”
She wasn’t keen on production’s suggestions
JaNa explained how she wasn’t a big fan of taking production’s suggestions on board during season six.
She said: “So many times they told us not ot do something and we did it. We didn’t care”
“They said ‘Don’t walk off set,’ and I walked off set because I was upset. I did not care.”
Describing herself and her co-stars as “bad little kids,” she said they didn’t take direction on purpose at times.
