Right, here’s what’s REALLY going on with Nic’s lips on Love Island USA

And no, it's not a cold sore

Nic’s lips have caused quite a lot of chaos online, and it’s mostly because he appears to have a cold sore. So, what is actually going on with his mouth?! He actually hinted at what really happened to his lips a few episodes ago, and blamed it on a fellow islander.

What’s going on with Nic’s lips on Love Island USA?

When Charlie left the villa, Nic revealed that he had busted his lip and forgives him for doing so. He was playing football with Charlie when he accidentally got hit in the mouth, but we never saw their game because it happened during the day off filming.

“Even though you busted my lip, I still love you,” Nic told Charlie in his goodbye video. Charlie said on the After Sun episode, “We were playing American football and I’d never played before. And he said, ‘Bro, try and catch the ball,’ and he tried to defend me.”

“I was like, I need to catch this ball, the girls are watching. So I was backed up and I just smacked his lips, so I said, ‘I’m so sorry, mate,’ because he’s such a handsome dude,'” Charlie added, clearing up all of the worries about Nic’s alleged cold sore.

So no, Nic doesn’t actually have a cold sore, despite the speculation about it apparently being spread around the villa. Belle-A, who was previously coupled up with Nic before she left, revealed she had bruised lips from the show’s kissing challenges!

People also thought Austin had a cold sore during the recent heart rate challenge, which hasn’t been cleared up, but for Nic’s sake, it healed way too fast to be a cold sore, for starters, and luckily, there’s no herpes spreading around the villa. Thank god.
