Wait, the Love Island USA season seven drama literally happens DAYS before we even get to see it?!
I'm not sure how to feel
Ok, so we all knew that Love Island USA isn’t coming in live and direct like those 24-hour streams of Big Brother. But the whole process of taping and airing the Peacock show seems to be pretty slow. The drama is coming through thick and fast almost every episode. But, turns out all the chaotic events actually took place way in the past. Let’s take a look at when Love Island USA is filmed, airs, and the season seven schedule.
Love Island USA is filmed live

Yes, Love Island USA (and UK) are filmed live, but they don’t air live.
The shows are captured in real time, but the episodes don’t hit our screens until a day or two later.
All the goings-on in Fiji are really happening. But it just takes a day or two for Peacock to air the scenes.
Episodes come out after editing and the addition of Iain Stirling’s voiceover, of course.
The show’s narrator once told Today in 2024 that he got used to writing the voiceover script under time pressure.
But, he continued: “The only time deadlines come in tricky is when you get to like week six, and they’ve all been together for like, three weeks.”
Iain continued: “You’re like, ‘I’ve done so many jokes about this couple’, adding that he had gotten a little worried that he’d have nothing else to say about them.”
Judging by this season’s cast, Iain shouldn’t be short of jokes for the rest of time.
So, when exactly is Love Island USA on in 2025?
The Love Island USA schedule has everyone clearing their nightly plans in a bid to stay up to date with all the drama.
From Olandria dropping bombshells all over the place, to recouplings that sent the whole group into meltdown, it’s safe to say this year is off to a very chaotic start. And, we’re here for it!
The Peacock show airs every day of the week except Wednesday.
Love Island UK’s Montana Brown once said “…you can bring whatever skin, hairstyling, and makeup products as long as you cover up the branding.”
People can tune into Love Island USA on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The show airs at 9 pm ET, although the season seven premiere did experience a little technical hitch.
And, what are they doing on that day off?

“It’s possible that the production team and cast use the day for filming and rest,” according to the Economic Times.
Per Reddit, people seem convinced that the day off for the Islanders sees the girls and boys have a day apart.
One user wrote: “I forgot where I heard it from, but they said that the boys and girls separate for their off days. So, the cameras won’t miss any juicy conversations between the couples and have pretty much a maintenance/chill day.”
The Tab also reported that the girls and boys have to sleep in same-sex beds for the day off, and that the cast members get a bit of a pamper on their day off on the UK version of the series.
Ariana Madix shared in a ‘tour of the villa’ clip that the 2025 Islanders are treated to an at-home sauna. So, it looks like self-care regimes are being taken seriously.
According to Allure, the cast is left to its own devices when it comes to their beauty upkeep.
“A professional team would be present only for the first day for the original islanders and for the finalists at the finale, according to the contestants we interviewed. Production also made it possible for islanders to get a little bit of help when they were running out of their beauty essentials.
Former Islander, Sydney Paight, said she and her fellow contestants would “constantly be ordering tanning products, false lashes, and perfume.”
When it comes to what contestants are allowed to bring into the villa, beauty-wise, there aren’t too many limits.
“The only products contestants are not allowed are hot tools such as blow-dryers, flatirons, and curling irons,” apparently.
