Kim Kardashian has reportedly just lost her late dad’s bible at auction. The mom of four is “scrambling to keep his memory alive” as she attempts to salvage his items that were in the hands of OJ Simpson’s estate. The reports come at the same time people are slamming Kim for allowing her daughter, North, to attend Coachella.
Kim Kardashian lost her dad’s $80k bible
Kim Kardashian is known for her pricey auction wins, but this year she was unsuccessful in trying to buy back a bible that belonged to her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr, per an exclusive from InTouch Weekly.
The sentimental item was reportedly in the hands of OJ Simpson’s estate following his passing. Robert Sr represented OJ in his 1995 murder trial.
According to the report, “Kim was determined to get this bible back for sentimental reasons.”
“Even seeing her dad’s handwriting means the world to her, but it’s also a part of his legacy. She didn’t want it in the hands of a stranger,” they said.
Kim was outbid at the auction at the end of March. She bid $15,000 for the bible, but lost out to an anonymous bidder who made an $80,000 offer.
Now, according to the outlet’s source, “the whole family is panicking over what else of their father’s could have been left behind.”
Kim wants to keep her dad’s memory alive
The fact that Kim is attempting to buy back her late father’s bible at auction makes it clear that she’s trying to keep his memory alive.
She and her family members often take to Instagram on Robert Sr’s birthday and Father’s Day to share sweet photos of him and share their memories with their fans and followers.
Kim’s dad passed away in 2003 at the age of 59 after being diagnosed with esophageal cancer.
Reflecting on one of her birthday gifts in 2020, Kim thanked her then-husband Kanye West for his gift.

She wrote in her post: “For my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so lifelike and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion.
