Sonia and James briefly dated on Love on the Spectrum season three, but he decided she wasn’t his person, even after they tried to hold hands. She even carried an iconic telephone-shaped bag on their date!
She was super vulnerable with her feelings for James on episode three, saying she felt they’d developed a close bond. Like James, she’s super passionate about heavy metal music and scarecrows, so the matchmaker had a point.
However, by episode four, James refused to see Sonia, and she said she’s “used to rejection”. Since meeting her, viewers are eager to have her back for Love on the Spectrum season four.

Sonia appears to still be single. She’s currently working as a model but is sadly grieving the loss of her mother, who had just been diagnosed with cancer before filming for Love on the Spectrum.
She wrote, “I am deeply missing my mother at this time. It is all overwhelming. I struggle to articulate the challenges of the past year and the period preceding my mother’s passing. This sense of confusion is difficult to convey.”
Sonia spends a lot of her time being an advocate for human rights, LGBTQ+ equality and mental health. She’s since said, “I am eternally grateful to be part of the love on the spectrum family. James, it was a pleasure meeting you.”
