Abbey reveals the romantic true meaning behind her song to David on Love on the Spectrum
She's actually really sweet
Aww, wasn’t the song Abbey wrote for David on Love on the Spectrum just the cutest thing ever?! They’re still together since season one, and are celebrating their fourth anniversary as a couple. She sang a song called Boyfriend Forever to him on season three, and has now revealed the sweet romantic meaning behind the lyrics.
Abbey made a song for David on Love on the Spectrum
Abbey serenaded David on Love on the Spectrum season three, and if your heart didn’t melt, I don’t know what will. She sang the song during a family celebration at a California winery and told Tudum, “I wrote this song last summer, and I wanted to do a tribute to David, because he is the best boyfriend, and I never want to lose him.”
She’s even made a music video for her debut song, which will be released on YouTube this month! The lyrics read, “My Prince Charming doesn’t bring me flowers, you know I’d rather have gummy bears any day. You see colors as numbers, now I know them all, you learn how my mind works, we started to fall. We have so much in common, but at the same time, you can do your thing and I can do mine.”
During the show, David reveals that treasure is seen as the colour one, after Abbey asked him what the number for it was. People have since realised that treasure is associated with gold, and gold is the sun. In essence, Abbey is the number one person in his life. They are just so cute!
She’s revealed the romantic true meaning of the lyrics
Abbey revealed that there’s a really sweet meaning behind her Boyfriend Forever lyrics. She said, “My favorite part of the song is [when] I say at the beginning, ‘You’re the lion to my lioness, the milk to my Chardonnay,’ because he drinks milk and I like wine and we both LOVE lions.” As we all know, David is a huge animal-lover, and Abbie loves them too.
She said that when she’s singing, it’s just easier to communicate her thoughts — and when it comes to David, she simply can’t express in words how much he means to her. For his part, David says “Boyfriend Forever” is “the most beautiful song [he’s] ever heard,” and says he felt her words “from the bottom of [his] heart.”
