The star of Prime Video’s hit show Off Campus, Ella Bright, has revealed she improvised one of her character Hannah’s most iconic moments. I’m deeply charmed that Ella Bright seems to be just as messy in real life as her Off Campus character Hannah. She shared on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast: “I feel very connected to Hannah. I feel like I want to be her best friend. I love her so much. I think we both have this very weird quirkiness about each other, but kind of own it. It is very funny. She’s clumsy. I’m the most clumsy person you will ever meet. And I made Hannah more clumsy.” Do you remember the very start of Off Campus, when we first met our queen Hannah Wells? She tripped over the laundry in an overly adorkable way. Well, according to Ella, “the first scene that you see Hannah in when she fall over the laundry car was not meant to happen that way”. An action shot(Image via Prime Video) Ella described the director’s initial vision for that scene. “I was just meant to leave. I was meant to spin around and go, ‘oh, my God, sorry,” and take the laundry cart and leave. But I fell, and then I was like, ‘Oh my God!’ And now it’s in the show.” “That happened the first week we were filming,” she explained, “I tripped over. I fell. I was mortified. Then Silver Tree, our director, came in with Louisa [Levy, the showrunner]. And they were like: ‘We love it. We love it. Do it again.’ Our messy queen(Image via Prime Video) “And I was like: ‘Oh, they’re just trying to make me feel better about me falling in front of like a million people that I never met before.’ And I was like: ‘You guys are being very nice, whatever.’ And then it turns out being written into the show, and it’s now the first thing.” Well, the moment was definitely a memorable introduction for Hannah (although I hope Ella didn’t stub her toe too hard).
