The Devil Wears Prada 2 has finally landed in cinemas, and while there’s no traditional post-credits scene, there’s still a reason to stay until the very end – especially if you’re a Lady Gaga fan. The long-awaited sequel sees Meryl Streep return as Runway editor Miranda Priestly, alongside Anne Hathaway as Andy, who is now a respected journalist in New York. The pair team up again when Miranda, suffering a PR scandal, is forced to hire Andy as features editor. Reviews for The Devil Wears Prada 2 are overwhelmingly positive, earning respective 79% and 88% Rotten Tomatoes scores from critics and audiences. Ultimately, everyone’s saying it’s a fun, entertaining ride while tapping into nostalgia in the best way. There are plenty of new twists too, including a cameo from Mother Monster herself, Lady Gaga. Director David Frankel previously told Back Row that she plays a pop star who performs while the characters are in Milan. There’s no post-credits scene in The Devil Wears Prada 2, but Lady Gaga is the reason to stay And if that weren’t exciting enough, Gaga’s written three songs for The Devil Wears Prada 2 soundtrack – including one that plays in place of a post-credits scene. So, while you won’t find any extra clips at the end like you would in a Marvel movie, the film does end on a musical note. Fans who’ve already seen the film have been sharing the news online, with one Redditor writing, “To everyone who’s gonna go see The Devil Wears Prada 2, stay until the end credits roll! Otherwise you will miss the third song by her. It’s played during the end credits.” They went on to say, “It was actually my favorite of the three, much more of a slow, emotionally striking song… It plays during the end credits (second song).” Interscope and 20th Century Pictures revealed the official tracklist for the Devil Wears 2 this week, including the three songs from the pop star: Shape of a Woman, Glamorous Life, and Runway, a collaboration with Doechii. Talking about the end-credits song, one fan wrote, “Sounds like it’s ‘Glamorous Life’. I heard snippets to all the new songs, and it blew me away. One of the greatest ballads that she ever recorded.” For all the latest film and TV updates and hot takes, like our Facebook page.
