If this latest Spider-Man: Brand New Day rumour is true, things are about to get incredibly awkward for Peter Parker. Via Marvel For months, fans have been convinced Florence Pugh is set to return as Yelena Belova in the upcoming Marvel film. With the actress nowhere to be seen in any of the official promotional material, it looks like her role, if she’s in it at all, is probably only a small one. Now, though, a new leak is claiming her appearance includes a scene nobody was expecting. Industry scooper DanielRPK has shared the rumour, posting: “Part of Yelena Belova’s role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day is her and Peter seeing each other naked.” DanielRPK has built a reputation for Marvel leaks, and previously reported that both Punisher and Hulk would appear in Brand New Day. So while nothing is confirmed, fans are definitely paying attention to what he’s saying. That said, another insider has offered a slightly different version of events to Forbes. Via Marvel According to James Mack, it’s actually only Yelena who sees Peter naked, rather than the pair catching each other in an awkward moment. That would fit more closely with footage we’ve already seen, where Peter wakes up shirtless and tangled in his own webbing. If that’s the case, it would also continue a long-running Spider-Man tradition. Every Tom Holland Spider-Man film has featured some variation of Peter ending up half-dressed or in a compromising situation, usually with another character walking in at exactly the wrong moment. It would also finally bring together two characters whose actors have previously said they’d love to share the screen. Both Tom Holland and Florence Pugh have spoken in the past about wanting Peter Parker and Yelena Belova to cross paths, so fans have been hoping for a crossover for a while now.
