The film has about a billion amazing costumes, so it’s not too shocking that one managed to go awry. One theory that’s actually my favourite says “that’s where she was holding space for the Defying Gravity lyrics. So fucking true, diva. One of the more plausible ones is the fact that sometimes costume departments do this on purpose to allow actors more freedom when swinging their arms about in role – and they can edit the patch out in post production.
