Blake Lively claims Justin Baldoni ‘cried’ for hours because she looked ‘unattractive’ on set
He was concerned she looked ‘old and unattractive’ in paparazzi pictures
Blake Lively filed a lawsuit against It Ends With us co-star and director Justin Baldoni on Friday, accusing him of sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, alongside claiming he launched a smear campaign with the intent to “destroy her reputation.”
In the filing, Blake Lively has also claimed Justin Baldoni cried in her dressing room for hours after he was concerned she looked “old and unattractive” in paparazzi pictures from the film.
The note allegedly stated: “On the second day of filming, for example, Mr. Baldoni made the rest of the cast and crew wait for hours while he cried in Ms. Lively’s dressing room, claiming social media commentators were saying that Ms. Lively looked old and unattractive based on paparazzi photos from the set.”
Apparently Blake tried to reassure Justin that she “should look authentic in the scenes depicted in the photos, which were just after her character had been abused by her fictional husband, rather than ‘hot.'”
However the filing continues, claiming Justin continued to focus on Blake’s physical appearance and “routinely degraded” her by finding “back channel ways of criticising her body and weight.”
It also claims Justin contacted Blake’s fitness trainer without her knowledge, as he claimed he was worried about having to pick her up for an upcoming lift scene, despite one not being featured in the script.
She also claimed that when she contracted strep throat, Justin offered to provide her with an “an expert he had on retainer to help her with probiotics and to combat the sickness” as a meaningful gift from him to her.
