Mac ‘n’ cheese sensation Luke Gatti is still a student, confirms UConn

A college spokesperson told us he’s still enrolled

As of this afternoon, mac ‘n’ cheese monster Luke Gatti is still enrolled at UConn.

Contrary to rumors earlier today suggesting he had been given the boot, a university spokesperson confirmed to The Tab he is still officially a UConn student.

This picture appearing to show Gatti packing up and leaving campus made a splash on the Buy and Sell today.

It is of course possible Gatti has left the university by choice.

Speaking to The Tab, university spokesperson Stephanie Reitz said: “Luke Gatti is listed as an enrolled student at UConn as of this time.”

Following his marketplace outburst in which he called the manager “a fucking retard”, it emerged he has been arrested at his former college of UMass Amherst for multiple disorderly conducts, along with assault and battery on a police officer.

A blog post dated 2014 claims to have a copy of a police report detailing how Gatti said “fuck you nigger” to a police officer.

Reitz added although Gatti remains enrolled at UConn, he may face questions about his earlier convictions.

She said: “UConn uses the Common Application, which includes questions about prior criminal convictions and disciplinary history at any educational institution previously attended.

“Failure to disclose prior convictions or discipline history is, of itself, cause for UConn to consider revoking admission.

“We are prohibited by federal student privacy law (FERPA) from providing details of an individual student’s application, including whether he or she disclosed that information.”

This means if UConn did not know about his previous arrests, then he could be considered for expulsion regardless of this most recent viral arrest.

To think this came to light because he only wanted some mac ‘n’ cheese.

And to relive the moment, here’s the tirade that led to his arrest.
