Protesters burn American flag at Philadelphia Anti-Trump protest
They were saying ‘Fuck Donald Trump’
Earlier today, a few dozen students at Temple University gathered this afternoon to protest Donald Trump as president.
Later that evening, some Temple students participated in a much bigger march from Philadelphia’s City Hall past Temple University.
Over 2,000 people clicked “attending” to the Facebook event and 5,000 of them were “interested” in the march. However, student involvement from Temple multiplied once the march reached Cecil B. Moore Avenue.
In a video sent to The Tab Temple, protesters can be heard chanting ‘Fuck Donald Trump’ as they burned the American flag near Temple’s campus.
Temple University has not issued a statement regarding the protests as of now.
CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article labeled the protesters burning the flag as Temple students. Though Temple students were involved in the protests, there is no confirmation they were involved in the burning of the flag.
