Tributes pour in for Forbes’ Steve Nathan

‘He will be missed’

Tributes are being paid to Forbes’ card checker, Steve Nathan, who passed away at the end of 2016.

He worked at Forbes for six years and was a local legend at Princeton.

Professor Michael Hecht, the Head of Forbes said:

“I am saddened to have to share news of another loss at Forbes.

“Steve Nathan passed away on the 29th of December. As you know, Steve worked as a card checker at Forbes. We saw him regularly on our way into the dining hall. All Forbesians recognized Steve’s face, and many of us had frequent conversations with him. He will be missed!”

A student added on a memorial site: “I am so saddened to hear the news, Steve, you have lit up the daily lives of so many Forbesians with your smile. Somehow you’ve managed to recognize hundreds of Forbesians by name or by face, something that many professors can’t do. I will sorely miss your “how’s it going(s)” and motorcycle talks. Rest in peace.”

Another post said: “Steve was a fixture in the Princeton community and a PHS Brother who will be truly missed. My condolence to his family.”
