Snapchat love story: Harvard guy meets Brown girl

Welcome to cuffing season

Now the fall season is in full swing and the sky seems to be covered by a permanent blanket of gloominess, we can find warmth with the realization that cuffing season is just around the corner.

Whether the coming weeks have you mustering up the courage to ask out that cute person in lecture, or that mysterious gem who always catches your eye on the Main Green, this Snapchat love story schools us all in boldness.

Anyone who saw the Ivy League Snapchat story could not miss the fated love story between “Brown Girl” and “Harvard Guy.”

Armed with Snapchat as their only mode of communication, our modern day Romeo and Juliet started out with Brown Girl, who has been struck by a cold, confessing that she would rather be out.

Harvard Guy responded directly to Brown Girl, and the love-finding adventure began as Brown Girl followed her mysterious suitor to Cambridge to meet on Harvard’s campus.

Dubbed the “Boston Tea Party” as the two planned to meet up for tea to soothe Brown Girl’s fever, thousands of eyes were focused on the action.

Snapchat even provided Brown Girl and Harvard Guy with their own geotags, one with Brown Girl’s notable comment of feeling “a little dead inside,” while Harvard Guy was characterized as “Thirsty for Tea.”

Students from the other Ivies weighed in on the love story, many of who were pushing for the two to date.

Harvard Guy posed a plan to meet Brown Girl by the John Harvard Statue, and the adventure began with Brown Girl making her way from Providence to Cambridge to find meet her virtual Romeo face-to-face.

As Brown Girl made her way to Harvard, people watched intently to see if there would be a happy ending to another Ivy League romance.

To the relief of the Snapchat viewers, our romance drama ended on a high note with Harvard Guy and Brown Girl meeting amid the crowd of tourists in the heart of campus.

Posing for their virtual audience, the two posted an update, marking the official start of their Tea Party Date.

So finding love on Snapchat works. Just ask these two, or Vikings Fan and Memorial Library Blonde from our beloved UW love story.

It could be hard to find love on campus, but fear not, when those Tinder Super Likes get too obnoxious, turning to Snapchat “to feel a little less dead inside.”

But let’s be honest, we all feel like that person from Dartmouth.
