Yale has to be one of the most sleep deprived colleges in America

So why did a study said we’re only 87th?

Jawbone, a fitness tracking company, recently released stats on how much college students across the country sleep and revealed Yale students get an average of seven hours during the week and seven and a half hours on the weekend.

We didn’t even rank in the top 25 schools that are the most sleep-deprived, while Columbia was ranked #1 (the first time it’s ever been #1 in anything).

Now, I know we take advantage of not having 8am classes, but based on my Snapchat every morning, very few Yale students actually get seven hours of sleep during the week.

Surely it’s less than that

According to Jawbone, the average Yale student goes to bed at 1:07am on weekdays and wakes up at 8:43am.

Clearly, Jawbone does not take into account the fact that Woads closes at 1am on Thursday morning ,which means we’re not getting our slices from Yorkside until 1:15am AT THE EARLIEST.

The report also says the average Yalie goes to sleep at 1:37am. on the weekends. So I guess I’m the only one of us who goes to GHeav at 3am on Saturday morning? Does late night Popeyes no longer exist after late night Zeta on the weekend?

Jawbone’s study was based only on college students who wear its products like UP or Smart Coach, so like most college rankings, take this one with a pinch of salt.
