Drunk driver hits UW-Madison student
UW-Madison student hit by drunk driver at 12:46am
Early Saturday morning a 19-year-old UW-Madison student was hit by a drunk driver while attempting to cross West Johnson St.
According to the Madison Police Department Incident Report, the student was trying to cross the street at the North Frances St intersection when she was hit by Emily Schumacher, 22.
The UW student was brought to the Emergency Room with significant injuries due to the crash.
Schumacher admitted to drinking and after being tested she was arrested for OMVWI Causing Injury.
