UW-Madison ranked in the top one percent of universities in the world

Badgers have beer and brains

Who would have thought the number one party school, could also be in the top one percent of universities in the world?

According to the QS World University Rankings, the University of Wisconsin-Madison is ranked the 53rd best university in the world – that’s 53rd of almost 1000 universities listed in the ranking.

In addition, the university was ranked fourth for communication and media studies, and has the 48th best life sciences and medicine faculty. Finally, UW-Madison received all five stars in the five categories QS uses to determine excellence: research, internationalization, facilities, innovation and specialist criteria.

Not too bad for a school that only has a reputation for being great at drinking beer. Next time your parents are worried about your social life interfering with your education, remind them Badgers can have both beer and brains.
