It’s official: W&M is one of Forbes’ top 50 colleges in America

Not too shabby, Tribe

William and Mary is once again brushing elbows with the nation’s top colleges and universities, ranking 38th on Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges List for 2016.

This should come as no surprise to past and present students, as the College is one of eight “Public Ivies” and boasts some of the top academic programs in the country, including Business, Anthropology and Law.

Tribe Athletics currently holds the record for the most CAA titles, with a whopping total of 123 titles. Men’s basketball, swimming and diving, gymnastics, and both men and women’s tennis all taking home titles in the 2015 season.

College Rank places William & Mary’s dining facilities at number 19, raving about our environmentally friendly facilities, and the college’s support of locally grown and produced produce and dairy products.

William and Mary offers many diverse opportunities with over 400 clubs and student organizations, Greek life, original research opportunities, and according to the Institute of International Education’s 2014 list, the highest ranking public college with study abroad participation.

Our alumni include actors, comedy writers, artists, professional coaches, government officials and presidents. (Not trying to drop names but George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Jill Ellis, Jon Stewart, Glenn Close, Mike Tomlin)

We house the oldest buildings of academia (a top hat nod to Wren), and we ranked as one of the 25 most beautiful college campuses in the country.

William and Mary has an incredible past and present, and the college’s future holds nothing but promise and prosperity. Plus, UVA is ranked #36, and we can do better than that.
