UPDATE: Man identified in tragic death on Drillfield

Virginia Tech release a statement about the news of a tragic death that occurred on campus earlier today on Twitter. Further reports from Virginia Tech confirm that Mr. Edward R. Willis passed away this afternoon.

Willis was a member of the Blacksburg community who was also a retiree from the Virginia Tech biochemistry department. He passed across the street from Campbell Hall on the Drillfield. The Virginia Tech Police and Rescue Squad responded promptly but were unable to revive him with CPR.
