Burritos to fall from the sky at Tech

Chipotle will begin delivering burritos by drone

If you needed more validation that Tech is the best college in the nation – here it is.

Since classes started three weeks ago, Tech has done some amazing things. We won the Victoria’s Secret Showdown, Hunter Hayes is coming to campus (I guess that’s cool), we have food trucks that bless various parts of campus, we beat Liberty (huge accomplishment), and now Chipotle will begin descending upon us from the sky… literally.

It doesn’t get better than this right?

How will these delicious burritos be delivered directly to us you ask? Well, Google is going to try out their drone technology on six different test sites, Tech being one of them. God bless whoever invented drones.

It’s still in its experiment phase so we may have a little while before burritos quite literally fall into our laps, but hopefully it will happen soon.

The burritos will be made on Chipotle food trucks, then attached to a drone and delivered to the salivating customer. Wherever they may be.

I’m assuming the customer would just use the Chipotle app to order their burrito and provide their location.

As far as the testing goes, it has been closed off to a select location (which may not be on campus) and a small group of students and faculty. Whoever was chosen for this little experiment has surely been blessed.

Fingers crossed that the trial goes as planned and we can enjoy our drone-delivered burritos in no time.
