USC in talks to open 2020 football season against Alabama

The game would take place at a neutral site in Texas

According to multiple reports, USC are in discussions to square off against Alabama to open the 2020 football season.

The last time USC played Alabama was in the season opener in 2016. The Trojans took a beating, losing to the Tide 52-6.

USC is 2-6 in the 8 meetings they have had with Alabama. The last time the Trojans have won was in 1978.

If USC's recruiting class of 2018 lives up to the hype and brings more talented classes to the team in the coming years, the matchup may be poised to become an instant classic, and possibly even a College Football Playoff Championship preview.
