Everything that happened at Beach Goth

Welcome to LA’s most unorthodox costume party

The Growlers celebrated their fifth annual Beach Goth this past weekend, which proved to be a massive success despite the torrential flooding that occurred on its final day. The downpour delayed set times and forced the closure of the outdoor Rx stage, but it didn’t dampen the spirit of the crowd or the energy of the performers.

Every year, Beach Goth is an unorthodox costume party, reserved for refreshingly weird behavior and chaotic fun. Festivalgoers can count on Beach Goth for the opportunity to see a variety of both underground local favorites and world famous festival headliners. This year’s lineup proved no different; Bon Iver and Justice headlined the weekend, and the bill was littered with gems such as Mystic Braves, HUNNY, and Slow Hollows. Old-school greats such as 2 Live Crew, Patti Smith, and TLC also performed, making the festival a hit for young and old crowds alike.
