USC is officially one of the best universities in the world

Pat yourselves on the back

The Center for World University Rankings (CWUR) ranks the top 1000 universities in the world from a list of a whooping 25,000 international institutions. CWUR is one the leading global university ranking groups as they define themselves as ‘the largest and most comprehensive academic ranking of global universities’. They act as consultants for governments and educational departments to help improve education standards across the globe.

In their list, USC has ranked 44th in the world. 44 out of a top 1000 is something to pride ourselves upon.

We beat a number of UC’s – with Davis being the closest at 49, while Santa Barbara (58th), Irvine (88th), Santa Cruz (150th) and Riverside (217th).

What’s more! We were even ranked way higher than Brown University, who holds the prestigious Ivy League status. ‘Prestigious’ enough? You tell me…

However, other California schools beat us in the rankings with Stanford being 2nd, UC Berkeley (7th), UC San Diego (17th), UC San Francisco (18th) and the rivals across town at 15th. Didn’t want to mention their name and (B)ruin your day.

But, next year we’ll surely do better because that’s what we do. After all, we’re Trojans. We keep fighting.

Fight on!
