UNC’s Joel Berry II out with hand injury
He’s expected to miss four weeks
UNC senior point guard Joel Berry II has a broken bone in his right hand, leading him to be sidelined for the next four weeks, according to the UNC Athletic Department's report.
With this timeline, he's likely to miss the season opener against The University of Northern Iowa on November 15th.
Berry was the 2017 Final Four Outstanding Player and the ACC Conference Tournament MVP in 2016. He averaged 14.7 points and 3.6 assists last season. He's a preseason candidate for the Bob Cousy award and ESPN has selected him as part of the preseason All-America first team.
Feel better soon, Joel!
