Forget shopping, I people-watched on Black Friday

Hanes Mall is the new ‘happiest place on earth’

I spent Black Friday in the glorious town of Winston-Salem, NC. Now, normally it’s a pretty sleepy town, but it seemed everybody and their mothers were out shopping.

After Thanksgiving dinner, my family and I drove down to the local Target to people-watch.

Target shoppers the night  of Thanksgiving. Because shopping > eating?

I had my hands on my head too, man.

We soon left because, I mean, it’s not like we were actually shopping.

Because no one in my family quite felt like doing any more Thanksgiving people-watching, we called it a night. But early Friday afternoon, we went back out. This time, we went to Hanes Mall, the happiest place on Earth.

Limitless ocean of cars. Yay for the environment!

So many people. Too many people

If a picture can tell a thousand words, then this picture of my family’s faces should speak volumes of the hell we faced together today

All in all, a fun time. Actually, maybe not fun. But hey, we survived it, right?
