I had a girl dress me for a week
And I have the selfies to prove it
“Have your girlfriend dress you for a whole school week,” they said. “It will be fun,” they said.
So I shot my honeybuns over in NYC a text, and immediately she knew what I would be wearing.
Because I have a tendency to only wear jeans and khakis (and no full body mirror), I decided perhaps a selfie a day would be sufficient in covering my outfits.
Day one: Maroon Monday
Monday, maroon-detailed sweater, maroon jacket, and to really nail the point, a maroon Fordham University hat.
Day two: Brrrrrr
Pictured: my succulent plant and I enduring a blizzard.
I hadn’t won a turtle neck in a while, and if I learned anything during this experience, it’s that I LOVE turtlenecks. This one makes me feel like Drake in that one part during the Hotline Bling music video. The hat is from Historic Jamestown, a cool place in Virginia and you can chill and pretend it’s 1608.
Day three: Go Huskies!
Wednesday I wore my winter-themed UConn sweatshirt.
GO HUSKIES.
Day four: Holiday season
Green knit sweater for Thursday, with an accenting red Sriracha hat. If you haven’t noticed by now, I only wear red hats.
Day five: Every button
Last but not least, I wore this. A blue J.Crew button-up, a green Timberland jacket, and a pink hat with some island on it. Fun fact: I bought this hat (a wedding party favor) at a thrift shop, hope Becca and Chad are going strong!
All in all, having my girlfriend dress me wasn’t as bad as I envisioned it would be (mostly because I usually just wear sweaters anyway).
Let us all just be thankful she didn’t put me in a crop top.
