A 25-year-old was taken into custody this morning following incidents last night on campus.

Joshua Benbrook is responsible for two of last nights armed robberies. The perpetrator of the robbery in biological sciences, however, remains at large.

The first hold-up occurred around 6:20. Benbrook approached a female UCI student on Watson Bridge and implied that he had a gun. Benbrook pulled up behind the victim’s car and lured the victim to his own car. Benbrook then pulled a gun out of the glove compartment and stole the victim’s wallet and phone. Benbrook fled in a red sedan.

The third incident occurred at 7:22 pm, a professor in the Biological Sciences 3 building caught a burglar in in office. The suspect left carrying a black bag with several laptops, laser pointers and books. The suspect who is 6’2, 190 pounds and about thirty still has yet to be found.
