UC Davis’ reputation ranked in the top 50 in the world

Aggie Pride ’til the day I die

Times Higher Education recently put out data ranking the top universities worldwide and UC Davis came 45th.

This “Cow Town” of a school did pretty well, but there’s still room for improvement.

Hit the books, pet the dogs.

The universities were ranked primarily in three areas: Overall (where we scored a 6.6), Teaching (6.4) and Research (6.7).

These stats are what pushed us so far down this list. Looking further into the stats it is shown that we are number 19 in the Life Sciences which kind of makes up for the score.

Our signature cows.

The article states, “Founded in 1905 as University Farm, it began offering short courses to farmers in 1908 and had an enrolment of just 18 students”.

We’ve grown exponentially since then, considering we have just over 35,000 from all over the country and world.

Student life and involvement is very high here as well.

Our ranking as the number one Veterinary school and the number two Agriculture school in the world is definitely our shining star to show that when we say we’re good at something, we’re the best there can be.

Aggie pride ’til I die!
