The Voltage Lounge will be holding a tribute on Monday to remember late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington

The event is just one of many tributes happening across the country

Just two weeks ago, news broke that Linkin Park’s lead singer Chester Bennington had passed away to suicide.

The band was scheduled to perform all across the United States and Canada this summer for their One More Light tour, but have since cancelled their remaining dates.

As a result, fans across the country have been arranging tributes and memorials to be held in their cities in place of their concerts. One of them will happen right here in Philadelphia at the Voltage Lounge located at 421 North 7th Street.

Linkin Park fans Laurie Carter Lapatina and Zeus Curbelo managed to book the venue for free to hold a tribute to the later singer.

The tribute will happen on Monday, August 7th from 7 p.m. to midnight.

However, unlike other tributes that have happened recently, the one at the Voltage Lounge will have ‘a party like atmosphere’ celebrating Bennington’s life by playing Linkin Park music.

The event’s Facebook group states, “Come out to celebrate the life of Chester Bennington the way he would have wanted. His fans just rocking out & singing along all night long.”

Although the event will be open to the public and people of all ages, attendees over the age of 21 will receive wristbands for the bar located at the venue.
