Temple style: Spring fashion is back

‘I don’t really have a theme, I just put on what colors I feel’

Fashion is a way to express yourself and that’s exactly what people are doing. With the weather warming up, more and more people are showing some skin. Hide those coats and knit mittens and throw on your favorite pair of shorts and sunglasses, because spring is here.

Colette Clark, 18, Undeclared

“I like thrifting a lot. I like clothes that no one else really has. I don’t want to be walking around and wearing something someone else has.”

Nathaniel Bitton, 18, Media Studies and Production

“I thrift a lot of my clothes. I mostly wear black and another color that pops out. I only wear vans or docs.”

Kristi Bezhani, 20, Global Studies

“I’m a free spirited person. I try to [dress in a way that will] align my spirituality with my humanity.”

Naje Childs, 20, Global Studies and African American Studies

“I live in the moment so every morning I make sure whatever I wear makes me happy. So I don’t really have a theme, I just put on what colors I feel. ”

Kajal Petal, 21, Media Studies and Production

“My fashion is little boy with a feminine twist. I like to wear a lot of oversized clothing and pair it with something really womanly.”

Femi Bello, 19, Mechanical Engineering

“I’m really into streetwear. I feel confident that I can go anywhere in any clothes I got it. It represents me.”

Erinn Kovar, 23, Journalism

“I really like chokers. I love platform shoes. Ginger Spice has always been an inspiration.”

Malachy Roberts, 18, Civil Engineering

“I’ve realized I find a lot of cool stuff at thrift stores. I also like skateboarding culture… For spring I’m just tryna wear big loose t-shirts.”
