Temple grads will make $45,000 straight out of college

Not too bad for going to school in North Philly

Temple is ranked 364th out of over 1000 universities for the best starting salary in the US, making $45,400 on average.

The ranking comes from new data released by college researchers at Payscale.

With the national average at $34,343, we’re doing pretty well for being $11,000 above it directly after graduation.

Luckily there’s hope. Mid-salary average, or salary 10 years after graduating, for a Temple University alumni is $79,100, which is more than double what we’d start out with.

We fall right behind University of North Carolina, a pretty good school by any standard, by $800 starting salary and $300 after 10 years. We also rank above Bloomsburg, Arcadia, Gwynedd Mercy, York, Rider, and Towson.

Penn State may make roughly $7,000 more than us, but at least we beat them in football this season. And that’s priceless.
