Syracuse Men’s Basketball player Tyler Lydon has decided to sign with an agent and enter the NBA draft. Last weekend, Lydon said he had still not decided between entering the NBA draft or staying with the Orangemen. His decision, while heartbreaking to Syracuse students, does not come as a surprise. The 2016 season saw SU make it all the way to the Final Four. This year, ‘Cuse did not even make it into the NCAA’s March Madness after a disappointing 15 losses during the season, then lost to Mississippi in the second round of the NIT. Lydon was also close with SU assistant coach Mike Hopkins, who was just announced head coach at the University of Washington. Lydon finished his sophomore season averaging 13.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, and 49-124 at the freethrow line. Fans had been speculating since the beginning of the season whether or not he would enter the draft. In June, Lydon will enter the draft in the hopes of being signed to a professional team.
