Syracuse junior passed away over the weekend

An email was sent out early this morning informing us about the passing of a Syracuse econ major, Hongming Cao. He passed away in his home country of China last weekend surrounded by his loved ones. Please keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers while we mourn the loss of our fellow student.

Hongming was a student in the College of Arts and Sciences and the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs. The email says he died following a brief illness.
