Students started protesting just as Madeline Albright began her lecture

There’s a protest going on outside Hendricks Chapel right now as Madeline Albright began her speech at 3pm.

There are around 20 protesters holding up signs which say “Money for jobs not war” and “Hands off the Middle East.”

The former U.S. Secretary of State is giving a Tanner Lecture in the Maxwell School today 3pm in the Maxwell Auditorium.

Her lecture is on Ethics, Citizenship and Public Responsibility. She is also discussing her 40 year long career in international affairs, as well as give her take on the current foreign policy in the U.S.

Protesters are also at the lecture and can be seen holding up large sheets with phrase “There’s a special place in hell for war criminals.” written on them.
