SU tuition is going up next year

Time to start searching in your couch cushions for extra change

Yesterday it was announced that prices for Syracuse University will be raised, as if we aren’t already paying enough.

Tuition is going up by 3.9 percent, meaning that our under eye circles are officially Yeezy-level designer, with a price tag of $43,440.

Room and board rates will go up  2-2.5 percent from what they are next year, perfectly coinciding with the start of the housing lottery. Check the room rates before you pick your room, otherwise you might be in for a nasty surprise when your bills come.

Financial aid is also going up, by 5.6 percent. $247 million is planned to be split up between all undergrads on financial aid. And for you graduate students, the grad assistant minimum stipend is increasing by 6.3% thanks to a big push in recent years from the SU Graduate student organization.

We hope you have some $100 bills hidden between your couch cushions.
