Pipe bursts in Sims Hall earlier today

Engineering students just continued to do work

The Syracuse Physical Plant officials showed up to campus to take care of another exploding pipe Friday morning.

Students in Sims Hall Room 331 were rudely interrupted when a pipe started spewing water in the middle of their recitation at around 10am.

Alex Filip, a student in the class said, “We thought it was a gas leak at first and then the pipe started bursting out water.”

Being engineers and all they continued to do work and then walked out because the conditions worsened. Officials think the new renovation to the floor contributed to the pipes bursting.
