A definitive guide to the best Super Bowl deals in New Brunswick

Helping you get shit faced on a budget

The New England Patriots are playing the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Bowl this Sunday, February 5. But a lot of us are only looking forward to the wings, pizza, nachos, and drinking our body weight in alcohol. Considering I am the only Patriots fan around here, I decided to seek out New Brunswick’s most exciting deals happening this Sunday. Sports are great, but let’s get down to business and talk food and booze.

Hub City Brewhouse

Formerly known as the World of Beer, the Hub City Brewhouse will be promoting 50 cent Bone-in Wings, $5 Build Your Own Burger and $10 Samuel Adams Boston Lager Pitchers.  They will also have $3 Coors Light, $4 Flying Fish Brewing Company Red Fish and Hopped Up and $5 Sam Adams Boston Lager. Make sure to stick around for their raffles where you can have a chance to win NFL jerseys and a Weber grill.

Olde Queens

As crowded as this place usually gets, you might want to stop by this Sunday. Of course, they will have their regular drink specials of $3 Landshark Bottles and $3 Svedka, Bacardi, Captain Morgan, and Jack Daniels mixed drinks. If that isn’t enticing enough, they are going to have free wings and grilled cheese!

Stuff Yer Face

For Super Bowl Sunday, happy hour promotion continues at the bar. That’s $1 off draft or bottled beer, mixed drinks and appetizers. You can also get $7 pitchers or $2 pints of Coors or Miller Lights. Order some potachoes or fish bowls, and you cannot go wrong with this place.

OB

We all know to come to OB for their cheap beer and 50 cent slices during happy hour, and OB also won’t disappoint this Sunday. In addition to the $2 pints Coors Light, you can make your own wings – jump size, obviously.  I’m about to order 50 for $34.95.

Destination Dogs

Destination Dogs, known for its unique internationally inspired hand-made sausages, are having Super Bowl-themed hot dogs! For the Falcons – The Dirty Bird – chicken sausage, cheese sauce, BBQ short ribs, picked japs, deviled eggs and duck chicharrones. And for the Pats – The Tom Terrific – fried beef dog, baked beans, cheese sauce, coleslaw and a pickle.

Wings over Rutgers

Too cold to leave your home or hosting your own party? No worries. Just for Super Bowl Sunday, Wings over Rutgers will be open 11 a.m. – 1 a.m. Place your orders by Saturday, February 4, and if you pick up your pre-order before 4 p.m., you get 10% off. If you really want a deal and want 20% off, pick up your pre-order before 2 p.m.
