Friends of Princeton student arrested for possessing firearm ‘relieved he is safe’

He is no longer listed on Princeton’s student directory

A Princeton student has been arrested on charges of firearm possession.

The student, who The Tab Princeton has chosen not to name at this time, was released and faces a pending court date for “not meeting the legal requirements to possess such a weapon,” which we believe to have been a shotgun.

The upperclassman is a popular member of the athletic community, and we understand that he has returned home to be with his family.

He is no longer listed on Princeton’s student directory, although friends have said he is still enrolled.

Members of his eating club have told us they are relieved he’s safe.

Princeton University said they do not comment on individual cases, and Princeton Athletics are yet to respond.
