Ivy member creates GoFundMe for club dues
‘This is only half a joke’
Intrepid Princeton student Sam Cox has put together a GoFundMe to help pay his dues for Ivy.
He has raised $420 out of a goal of $1000 since he created it yesterday.
He says that he has begged and borrowed his way to $300 so far, and is looking to get the last $1000 of his sophomore dues.
Sam adds: “This is only half a joke.”
In the description, Sam says: “Ivy is my dream. That dream has become a reality. Almost.
“I don’t have enough money to pay my dues. Why do you think I’m always in Frist: I’ve only payed half my housing contract.
“I’ve borrowed and begged my way to $300, enough to keep the creditors off my back for a bit…just.
“Please help. Or else my negligible Princeton social life will be totally gone. You’ll catch me in Campus Club eating free chips, not a shred of Princeton approved social prestige left.”
