Person hit and killed by train near Princeton Junction

Service has now resumed

A person was struck and killed by a New Jersey Transit train near Princeton Junction late tonight, officials said.

There were no injuries to the approximately 500 passengers and crew on the train, which was heading from New York Penn Station to Trenton.

Amtrak Police are investigating, according to an NJ Transit spokesperson.

The Dinky and other trains were initially suspended between Trenton Transit Center and New Brunswick, and service has now been resumed.
