What you missed at the 2015 Drag Ball

Cakes da killa was HUGE

You saw it. The posters. The emails. The Facebook event. Cakes da Killa.

But did you go?

Friday night saw Terrace welcoming Drag Kings and Queens galore, with lights, music, and an impressive catwalk down the center of the dance floor.

The Drag Ball is one of the few events on campus encouraging students to dress up and participate in as much “genderfuckery” as possible.

During the night, a competition is held where contestants have to walk, dance, and/or lipsync down the catwalk to a song of their choice. The event was headlined by the ferocious Cakes da Killa who according to Stereogum, “sounds like he will absolutely slap your face off”.

Although the competition started at 1am and the headliner at 2am, the club filled up with students bending gender norms well before midnight.

For those who couldn’t make it, here are some of the best-dressed of the evening, with their one-word outfit descriptions.
