Our chancellor earns $536,520 and we can’t even afford a round at Hems

But tbh he’s so worth it

The Chronicle of Higher Education have released stats about how much every president of a college in America makes in a year. As it turns out, our own Chancellor Gallagher makes $536,520 annually in addition to home and car insurance.

With that load of cash, you could purchase over 67,000 Primanti Bros sandwiches, 107,304 Hemingways shot pitchers, and 214,608 hours of parking by the Cathedral. That’s like 83 years of parking if you park for seven hours per day.

With the average student’s tuition and fees coming in at $18,192, Chancellor Gallagher could pay for almost 30 students to go to school at Pitt.

This is all pretty insane, but we can all agree that the man is worth it. He’s also paid waaaaay less than Penn State’s president, Erica Barron ($1,039,717) so perhaps our money actually goes to us a little bit!
