A music guide to all your feels

They say music heals the soul right?

We roll our eyes when we hear the cliché phrase, “I wish my life was like a movie.” But what is so wrong with wanting your life complete with background music and relatable lyrics to accompany every hardship or memory that you ever go through.

Personally, the only thing that gets me through certain events in my life- happy or sad, is music. As young individuals, we realize more and more everyday that jobs, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends, and well, people in general are quite temporary. Well, guess what? There is good news in all of that mayhem.

Music is one of the only things that won’t leave you.  So, why not implement it into all aspects of our lives. Listen to these songs as instructed and you will open a whole new perspective on what your life would be like if it was constantly accompanied by music.

When you realize you were dating a fuckboi: Natalie- Bruno Mars (Unorthodox Jukebox)

He pretty much tears this girl apart, and it’s highly entertaining. It’s perfect for when you realize you were dating a big jerk.

When you really just need to cry: Tonight I Wanna Cry- Keith Urban (Be Here)

This song is impossible to listen to without crying, so if you need to let it out- let Keith Urban help you. Then take a moment and appreciate how attractive a sexy man crying is.

When you are super pissed off and you don’t know what about: Fat Lip-Sum 41

This song is angry and awesome.

When you’re drunk in love: Higher- Rihanna (ANTI)

This song is unappreciated and underrated, but it is an accurate representation of what it feels like to be drunk in love. Rihanna’s rugged and unedited voice gives this song a refreshing breath of real romance.

When you drank too much wine and just want to dance: Dessert- Dawin (Dessert)

You know when you decide to drink that extra glass of wine that you don’t need, and you just can’t stop your feet? This song will help you get all your drunk dance moves out, and you’ll most likely have a new favorite song.

When you wanna do some drunk karaoke: Faithfully-Journey

You can’t go wrong with a classic like this.

When the one you love breaks your heart:The Weight- Shawn Mendes (Handwritten)

Not only does he have the voice of an angel, but also the fact that he is so young and vulnerable helps for any listener to relate and oddly enough, heal.

When you’re single and proud: Dear No One- Tori Kelly (Foreward)

Because I am a strong independent woman, and I don’t need a man.

When you’re on an awesome back road late at night: Feels Like Home- The HIM ft. Son Mieux

The beat is ridiculous and helps you really connect with nature and movement.

When you have killer sunglasses and red lipstick on: Me Too- Meghan Trainor (Thank You)

Because we all have those moments where we look hot, we know we look hot, and we are a badass bitch and need to sing about it.

When you meet that one person that makes you genuinely happy: You Make My Dreams- Daryl Hall & John Oates (Voices)

If this song doesn’t make you wanna do the carlton when it comes on then I feel bad for you.

When you just get that urge to listen to the one and only, Michael Jackson:  Man in the Mirror- Michael Jackson (Bad)

This song doesn’t even need an explanation because he’s Michael Jackson and well, yeah.
