From ACC player of the year to guest on the Ellen Show

Pitt running back James Conner will appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on April 21st

James Conner is no stranger to the small screen. During his time at Pitt, people have tuned in to football games to watch the standout junior running back break record after record, winning ACC Player of the Year in the process.

Those who had to opportunity to watch him do this saw tremendous strength on the field – but, in November, Conner was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Although this kept him off the field, he was able to use his strength to power through this disease, inspiring many along the way.

Last week, he threw the first pitch at the Pittsburgh Pirates opening game against the St. Louis Cardinals.

His next step?  The Ellen Degeneres Show. Conner will appear on the popular talk show April 21st at 4pm.

Congratulations to James and we can’t wait to continue to follow his journey on Ellen!
