The never-ending week before break

We all know it felt like two weeks

Thanksgiving break is finally here. I repeat, Thanksgiving break is FINALLY here. No, this is not a drill.

This last week has been a busy one, and it’s been a long one. You can put down your books, hold off on the Adderall, and rejoice now all the homemade Thanksgiving food is almost here.

With all the work and projects piling up, we don’t blame you if you missed what happened this week in Happy Valley. Don’t worry though, The Tab’s got your back.

Last football game of the year

Unfortunately, it’s this time of year everybody. Saturday November 21, 2015 was the last football game of the season.

Held at Beaver Stadium, we got to see the long-awaited clash between the glorious Penn State Nittany Lions against the far less than glorious Michigan Wolverines. If you listen close enough, you might be able to hear the drunken sobs of seniors as this is their last game as a student.

No need to mention Michigan won 28-16.

Added security at Saturday’s game

With the recent events that occurred in Paris and other areas around the globe, Penn State officials are starting new and improved security measures at Beaver Stadium. When you arrive, make sure to go through the security line with the hottest cop because after all of these precautions, they might have to buy you breakfast, too.

Candlelight vigil in memorium

In light of all the terrorist attacks around the globe last weekend and into this week, an organized candlelight vigil was held on the lawn of Old Main.

Shining bright into the night, the very building bore the lights of the French flag, but Paris wasn’t the main focus of the vigil.

All areas attacked, whether it was Nigeria or Beirut, were held in thought and pray during the moment of silence and words spoken by club leaders. WE ARE #prayingforparis

Gunman on campus?

It wasn’t immediately clear from other outlets whether or not there was actually an individual with a gun on campus late Tuesday night. After much confusion, Penn State confirmed it was a false alarm.

Friendsgiving

With most of us going back home for break and Thanksgiving dinner, when else would we have had a chance to celebrate whatever and/or whoever we’re thankful other than this week?

Friendsgiving happened all over campus this week, and students busted out their Martha Stewart skills to cook the holiday favorites. Of course some things got a little burnt, and the mashed potatoes were a tad lumpy, but the booze kept on coming.

Wine glasses, martini glasses, and coffee mugs were filled. Cheers.
