Oregon might have not scored higher in the latest World University Rankings, but we know our school is still amazing
But seriously, why are we below Oregon State
As if we needed reminding how great Oregon is, we have officially been named in the top one percent of universities in the world.
The study, which judges the best 1000 universities across the planet, placed us at 551st. There are an estimated 26,000 universities in the world.
While we sit at the same last year, our school is known for some amazing programs. According to Niche.com, our School of Journalism and Communication was the 71st best colleges for communication in America. In addition, our business program was also ranked 87th.
MIT, Stanford and Harvard all took the top spots for another year running.
The QS World University Rankings bases their scores on the expert opinions of 75,015 academics and 40,455 employers, also analyzing institutional research impact. It’s known as the definitive guide of global university rankings.
